Not trying to make an official thread or anything just curious what some people are thinking I can definitely see him doing a milli first week especially depending on how those Nike bundles looking could do even more...thoughts?
If he truly does bundles, I can see the number being similar to scorpion around 700k fw

If Drake did Nike merch bundles he would very easily pass a mil’
250 - 350 Realistically. No bundles
But if he does more congratulations to him.
y’all forget this his 12 commercial release.
never?
was just talking based on these threads

ktt2.com/drake-likes-post-on-the-death-of-merch-bundling-75162
he seems to be against it ethically
Around 600k.
Bundles dont work anymore, but hes the biggest artist ITW i dont see him doing less than 550k
Why are people saying bundles don’t work? Taylor Swift did deluxe album bundles her first week and did over 800K. If Drake bundles Nike merch with the album he will pass 1 million first week easily. He did 732K first week with Scorpion with no physical copies, all off of streaming and iTunes purchases.
Depends on how the rollout goes.
If he does another surprise drop I see +300k
If this gets a proper rollout, date in advance +500k
If he does Bundles 700k - 1m
Around 600k.

You'd be surprised.

Because she dropped her album before the new rules were in place
You think so?
He isn't doing 500K without bundles. His units from iTunes will be even lower this time around than they were when he dropped Scorpion. He'll be lucky to pull up to 50K from iTunes alone. Do you know how many streams he would need to pull to do 500K from streams alone?
I'll give you a hint:
Dark Lane Demo Tapes pulled 269 million streams and that equated to 204K units. Even if his next album somehow managed to pull twice the number of streams that Dark Lane Demo Tapes did (which I don't see happening, especially if it's 14-16 tracks long), that adds up to 408K. Add in the iTunes sales and that's about 458K, 460K if you round it up.
Anyone thinking Drake is doing 500K without bundles either hasn't done the calculations to see that won't be possible, or is just being delusional.

Gonna take my L quietly

It ain't an L. A lot of people just haven't done the math yet and are just assuming Drake can't possibly do worse than 500K, while disregarding how much sales has degraded this year, the fact that the new Billboard rules make it harder to use bundles and the fact that streaming in 2020 isn't close to being at the levels it was in back in 2018 when Drake dropped his last album.
