Jesus Is King is worse than any album or tape Drake has ever released. So was Donda 2. And ye.

Hasnt made anything as good as the highs of NWTS/IYRTITL since then unfortunately but he’s still a hit machine

TC-Views he was just white hot man. I think he’s made some songs recently that can compete with some of his best ever. But if I were to make a top 20 drake song list, a lot of it would be pre-2016

Still haven't heard Her Loss but I'd take the best songs off CLB/HM over a lot of his 09-15 stuff

    this is insane

The gems he drops can’t even be disputed, which is why it seems like they get glared over for the memable s***

And to the point of his rapping currently he just did every modern day rap style on her loss and didn’t even sound out of place

  • Nov 20, 2022

For the the quality of his music from 2011 onwards is pretty much the same.
It is getting a lot less relatable though, maybe that is something people have problems with

  • Nov 20, 2022

I genuinely think drake might be in his peak in a lot of ways right now.

If he marries that with getting a producer in their prime next album gonna be great . Also if he focuses on a more concise offering with no slips. Kinda like what he’s achieved with HER LOSS

Don't you rate Middle of the Ocean? They're almost identical to me, I wouldn't be surprised if they used the same sample

    No

He’s mastered all the hip hop fundament and taking the melodic stuff further than ye, pharell, andre etc

He’s not taking the melodic stuff further than the people you listed

Drake hasn't even begun to peak. And when he does peak, you'll know. Because he's gonna peak so hard that everyone in Toronto's gonna feel it.

    Agreed

Her Loss Drake has like a 99 2k rating

I hope this energy translates to his next studio album
