I've got a friend doing this for the health benefits it apparently brings. He's already pretty skinny so not weight related. Thoughts of the health benefits associated with intermittent fasting, OP?

The thing I’m most excited about is just giving my digestive system a break. The food industry has us thinking we MUST eat 3 times a day every day so our system is working nonstop all the time. Also regarding what you said about the spiritual effects, I’m finding this to be true as well

why would your body need breaks to do something as basic and natural as eating? Just eat healthy

    You will be skinny

skinny fat most of the time.

not until you lift weight that you'll stop being skinny fat, you have a lot of muscle to put on.

It doesn’t need a break, but it’s not bad to give it a bit of a break from constantly digesting. That’s only one of the benefits though

Most people do it for weight loss, but I think the other benefits far outweigh just losing weight. It’s incredibly worth it

You really start seeing the world different when you don’t have to think about food. It’s lowkey a super power

  • Mar 20, 2021

I did it in 2018 and lost so much weight people thought I was dying lol I'm actually thinking of doing it again cause I've put on a s*** ton of weight

I did it for 21 days once and I had trouble chewing, digesting and food was just repulsive

but nowadays I'm on a balanced diet which I think combined with exercise is way healthier than just starving yourself

  • Mar 20, 2021

I was eating from 3pm-8pm. But work has been slow so I tend to drink or snack and ruin it. Once it picks up again I’ll start.

a 72-hour fast isn’t intermittent intermittent fasting is when you eat 6-8 hours of the day and fast the rest

i’ve done both tho and like both, prefer just exercising though. around the end of the 72-hour fast you kinda start tripping out, it’s kinda fun in a sort of masochistic way

You have to intake an obscene amount of electrolytes for a water fast thru an electrolyte beverage with sodium chloride, potassium, and magnesium all added together. It tastes horrible but it will keep your body from going crazy

Works wonders. not the best if youre trying to gain strength and size tho

I've heard it actually helps with building muscle if you eat enough calories and protein obviously

    You’re over thinking it.

Eat from 12PM-4PM. Fast until 12PM the next day or whatever.

if you’re built different like me then you can do a full 24 hours easily.

man the only time I fasted for three days was when I was doing cocaine

  • Literally just take bread, pasta, and rice out your meals for like..a few weeks. It does just as much better as intermittent fasting
