the cinematography was great and joaquin played the role well but it was basically just a mix of king of comedy and taxi driver without being as good as either

Came here to say this, those scenes of him randomly dancing had me like Joaquin did well with what he had though and the cinematography/colors in the movie are beautiful

Me and my girl burst into laughter when he started dancing

The writing in that monologue was f***ing bad, basically a 4chan rant come to life

Also, it's really interesting how a mentally ill person gets off their medication for a couple days and suddenly becomes a fully lucid mouthpiece for the director with no crippling social anxiety
