They tried that s*** wit me. Saw right through it. I don’t knock college because in hindsight it’s really just a big investment/loan and can be beneficial to those who have a career they want to be in. But most teens don’t find themselves at 18 so they resort to it out of fear
Facts.
Dude in the other thread was knocking me,
but the military is the easiest way to d*** around and stack bread for 4 yrs.
Not for everybody,
but if you dont know whatchu wanna do,
Id at least consider seriously researching.
nah but I still will fail my exams this semester
I’m doing social work and I like it
Not sure if it’s right for me. But I like the idea of helping people
I hate it now that I’ve been doing it for a while. It’s unfulfilling. The money is good but it’s just so mundane.
I studied HR and work in it. It just gets more boring the higher up the ladder I go

100%. Serving the country is the LAST option I recommend someone. That’s like if you just genuinely do not know what to do. But it’s great money to stack up in. My boy got hella bread doing it but he rarely has free time and most his free time not on duty is with his military buddies now. Military and trade school are people’s best opinions if they are clueless. Trade school is half the time and work college is and you still make the same amount of pay as other good careers you study in college

Big facts, I’m still in college but decided to join rotc just so I have time to explore and s***.
Besides what I am majoring in requires a masters degree to have as my mos as a officer so I will be able to do something else while I figure out if this is the path I really want to take.
How old are you? 21-22 right? If so finish that business degree and land a decent job with that while also going to college to get that English degree as well. This would take up your social life a s*** ton though.
Another option is just to finish that business degree at this point and find you a laid back decent paying office job. I personally wouldn’t want you to go back for another 3 years and you be about almost 30 just now getting into your field. Starting pay for most teaching/lectures aren’t the best either depending on your area
I'm 23, I'll be 24 this year..
The thing is I'm going to be getting older regardless, I'd rather do something I really want to do than not do it simply because it'll eat into my social life..
Since you are 3 years in. finish it. see if you can finish faster by taking more classes

What are you ultimately trying to do though? It doesn't matter about your major. A ton of people are in careers that are unrelated to their major, myself included
I enjoy it but ever since entering uni ive been struggling so I just feel inadequate studying it

I think I'd only be changing degrees with the intention of going into a career directly related to the major.
As stupid as it sounds I think there's two fields of study I'd like to pursue, English and/or Geography - my two favourite and best subjects at school.
I could combine the two and pursue teaching which I'm strongly considering, I would have no interest in becoming a business teacher though.
Or possibly becoming a lecturer/professor/working in Academia in either English or Geography.
For Geography I'd find research very interesting.
Realistically I'm looking at doing a Masters in whatever I choose, be that teaching (requires a Masters), English alone or Geography alone.
Na I love learning, education etc but covid ain't making it any easier. Feel very disintegrated to course, my tutors and other students, but I did well last semester so I can't complain. Just gotta keep grafting, hopefully we're coming out of it soon.
As to what I'm doing after I finish my course is another question. And to that I answer f*** knows
Just don't lose motivation because its getting tough, it was never gonna be easy g thats why you're studying
Yeah i did a law degree and i hated every second of it, did it mainly due to pressure from my parents as well as the fact i wasnt sure what i actually wanted
Since graduating ive left all that and am pursuing music full time and could not be happier, got a job at a good sized studio so even if producing doesnt work out i’ll be a full time engineer

sounds like u should go to grad school, also look for an internship this summer, your school probably has some options for research positions in the summer, idk too many people in business school but it seems like networking is the most important thing to be doing so meet people who are doing things u are interested in, your degree will matter a lot less after you get a job
I'll refuse to be like this, imagine paying tons of money investing in a future you hate. this how y'all ppl get depressed and grow up being a salty old man always s***ting on the youth
What business degree are you going for?
I honestly don't even know..
I'm good at Marketing, I've consistently got up on 80% in exams but it just feels like a shady practice to me.
I hate marketing as a practice but I'm good at the subject.
I find management interesting, I don't necessarily think I'd make a good manager, but the subject again, is alright.
i did then i changed it even though my mom did everything in her power to tell me i would never find a job with that major

Yeah I think grad school is on the cards, but not in the field of Business..
Which is unfortunate because I've spent the past number of years studying for the damn degree
also kinda disillusioned with how bachelors degrees have been reduced to s*** in the past decade

I'm saying you don't have to change your degree. Your degree ultimately does not matter for whatever you want to do, unless you want to be a doctor or a lawyer.
if you want to work in Academia, then just get a Masters in the field you're interested in.
