Also seeing a lot black people getting into that Hebrew Israelite thing too. Actually more of that than Islam tbh
Nah lowkey Christianity is on the rise again too
Statistically, not at all. I can prove it if you would like. Islam is the only religion with a positive conversion rate
People start looking towards religion out of fear of the end times.
Religion should inspire enlightenment, growth, and a desire to be a better person just for the sake of being a better person. Not fear of damnation.
It's like back in the day when bad ass kids suddenly start getting their s*** together and acting right so they don't get coal for Christmas. It's just fake.
Yea and it's a great thing tbh
People feel lost with the direction society is heading in. People very selfish and nihilistic. Try to convince you not to care about anything and if u do then u should just cry about it online like them. A lot of folk finding they need that direction and purpose religion can give them.
Let's face it, d*** use on the rise, depression and mh issues on the rise, loneliness on the rise. Self worth is at an all time low. Society just not working. These kids have no idea what to do. I urge you if you have an interest to just come along one Sunday and check it out, find yourself a new family.

I'm an atheist, but this.
A lot of people desire to find some meaning in this increasingly fractured and nihilistic society.
My family is Catholic and whenever I do go to church once in like 5 years because it's a wedding or a christening that I'm attending, you really do feel that sense of belonging and togetherness that is otherwise increasingly hard to find in modern society.
Religion is the easiest way to find some meaning nowadays, and I don't see it as necessarily a bad thing as a lot of atheists might.
IMO, it's a hell of a lot better than the doomspeak/nothing-really-matters-so-I-might-as-well-fuck-up-my-life attitude that I see A LOT of young people have nowadays.
Even devoid of any external meaning, life is extremely worth living and a precious gift and if people need religion to come to that conclusion, I'm all for it.
Also, I agree with OP, I see a lot of people my age (late 20s/early 30s) increasingly turning to religion, wonder if that will show through global statistical data in the next few years or if it's just subjective.
My brother by blood jus became catholic
This was pretty random as none of my family are catholic
Just because a couple streamers became Christian doesn’t mean it’s on the rise lol
It’s literally the opposite. Christian is the lowest it has ever been in the US.
Gon’ always have a problem seeing my people revert to the religion our ancestors were literally forced into practicing. (Argue with yo mama and history about that, not me.)
Like….Ifa is right there man #ogun

Sure the statistics don't reflect it yet but I do feel like they will soon. The vibes are changing

Eternal damnation, in this damn nation.

Can you still find yourself relating to people in your life who are into religion or that sort of thing doesn't factor in how you relate to people
Is it that hard to try to find peace and goodwill within yourself and community without religious structure?
Can you still find yourself relating to people in your life who are into religion or that sort of thing doesn't factor in how you relate to people
Doesn't factor into how I relate to people. Out of my four best friends, two of them are religious/catholics. Granted, they are not some sort of ultra conservatives, so we share most of the same social or political values, but religion is not really something any of us considers an obstacle.
My wife is an atheist, as well, I don't think I could really be in a long term relationship with a religious person, simply because of the conflict that I guess would happen with regarding how I would want to raise our kids, etc., but when it comes to friendships, I don't really let religious matters get into the way of those types of relationships.
Had a friend in high school who was a big atheist, I met up with him a few years later and he said he was catholic weirded the hell outta me
