Your parents gave you everything on a silver platter and the only job you could get was at Walmart?
bro im dying, whole family hustled backwards
I don't think so
do they have any connections that could possibly get u better paying job?
We even had a f***ing maid in the house and they paid for all my college expenses
oh so you got MONEY MONEY
Nah was "lower middle class" my whole life till I was 12yo. Pretty much poverty level since cause my dad racked up 200k+ debt for his crack addiction and dipped out
I thought I grew up well off until I read the op
Had to have a job the day I turned 16, paid for my car on a loan from my dad w interest no maid I was expected to clean a good amount
My parents had money but my dad grew up dirt poor so it was just a weird dynamic
I used to wish I did.. but after growing up and realizing how hard my mother worked to provide what she could and spending time around people who have never known struggle, it's made me appreciate what I did have. Now I don't even wish that we were well off. I just wish that we had enough that we never had to struggle.
Children should not experience homelessness as much as we did. People in general shouldn't experience it at all, for that matter. Being older, I remember times that my mother wouldn't eat or just have a couple of pieces of bread and say that it was because she wasn't hungry. Now I realize that it's because there wasn't always enough food.
There are enough resources for everyone, so everyone should have fair access.
My great grandpa invented the catalytic converter so my family should be worth billions of dollars but he sold the patent for less than 1000.
He invented so much s*** my last name should be famous

That’s dope tbh, it’s crazy cause the decisions you make now can definitely affect future generations

Yeah I’m definitely well off. Not in the sense that we always had overflowing amount of money, like I used to get all my clothes second hand and s*** like that, but there was never a time where I didn’t have food on the table and I can be grateful for that

I’m really trying to do better for my kids so they can do better for their kids though

Yeah bro work to be something your family and future family can be proud of
imagining them sat at the dinner table late one evening asking each other how and when they messed up cuz their only son is 28 working at walmart

I say I am middle class forsure. Live in pretty nice area and have pretty comfy life doesn’t mean I can’t criticise capitalism because life can be better for all.
My dad used work for a telecoms company and my mum is teacher
Little harder these days since we only got one major income tho I started working again. We had to start budgeting
