  • If Biden somehow loses, we’re gonna get Tucker vs AOC in 2024, and that’s when we all lose.

Sadly if they weren’t “celebrities” or went on these talk shows then the general public wouldn’t know s*** about them.
And we’d be stuck with some terrible politicians

its honestly a pipe dream to think political knowledge will grow without these new age candidates trying to match new age voters

even in this woke age, alot of niggas are DUMB. not to mention candidates intentionally tell you the policies they want you to know and shelve the rest

Honestly what qualifies as far left these days?

please i am begging you not to turn politicians into celebrities theyre meant to be representatives that act in your lieu, not be cool and quirky and hip

    This x1000

With that said I think she could be an incredible politician, most likely a great president someday.

    And she's fine as hell

Are you saying this about AOC specifically? Cause she should be praised and spoken of for what's she's achieved, done & said (especially at her age). And although I agree Politics shouldn't have to be involved/portrayed in popular media the way it has been the past few decades she doesn't seem like her passion or significance can be contributed to being "quirky and hip"

What has AOC achieved besides propose a bunch of extremist bills?

  • Jul 29, 2020

just in general although yes i think it applies to her. i very much dislike her brand of politics. i see it as highly narcissistic and toxic. i do not disagree with all of her policies but I do not see her furthering a real rightful cause honestly, i think even for the policies i agree with her on she's just further contributing to the problems of our political machine. not to knock on people who like her because I get it, she's a young left wing minority politician, but i strongly believe politicians shouldn't have a cult of personality in a political system like ours which gives massive amounts of immunity and leighway to politicians over actual voters

Money in politics made it this way.

If everyone had to rely on voter dollar Bernie Sanders would be the president next January.

And even though I don’t like Bernie I’d much prefer it that way.

I’d honestly disagree with this tbh

I just find it funny that some people are creating this bullshit narrative that a "far left extremist" could be anywhere near as irresponsible or destructive as the current Pres. we have in office rn. Is there any examples of far left politics (that aren't hyperbole) in America? How are we comparing a U.S. representative to a Fox news anchor? The horse shoe theory doesn't apply to our political system, there's a clear greater evil here and some of y'all continue to fly in the face of it.

The problem is that even though you understand that AOC isn’t f***ing Che Guevara I’m gonna assume you’re still under the full impression that Tucker Carlson is a racist homophobe who hates immigrants and dreams of a White Christian ethnostate.

So no there’s no “clear” evil here Trump panders to racists and Justice Democrats pander to anarchists. Doesn’t mean that their actual platforms are racist or anarchist respectively.

Btw haven’t read what you linked me yet will do right now

And to simply answer your question, no there isn’t any extreme leftist policy currently operating in the US (at least federally). The most radically left thing being proposed is Medicare for all. Even defunding the police seems pretty standard to me. I think abolishing police is way more far left than defunding but nobody’s taking that seriously.

I fully agree with you that people gotta stop talking about AOC and Bernie like they’re the Kim regime. But that doesn’t mean that they don’t completely disregard the pure basics of economics when they present their platforms. If Bernie was president we’d have to destroy trillions of dollars worth of government programs to sustain his new programs and all those job losses are just not something Justice Democrats would wanna be responsible for.

On the real, most of the intense vitriol directed at her from the right is rooted in some underlying sexual desire.

either that or the fact she used to work as a waiter, which really is just exposing how much the right hates lower class people
