absolutely. although if you don't need the ultra portability you should consider the m1 mac mini for a wildly better price

I think you should absolutely go for the Mac Mini M1 because it's a far far better value. I don't think there is a 16gb Mac Mini but you're perfectly fine with the 8gb model. The Mac Mini will be more than enough for what you're trying to do. You should also go with the 256gb model rather than the 512gb one because you can just expand the 256gb one with an external HDD/SDD at a much lower price.

It does not mean that. There have been two instances of spring events announced after WWDC was announced

I wouldn’t give up hope. An April event is still very likely. They just give more lead time for WWDC.

Recent reports said that the iPad Pros are going into production ‘mid-late April’ so I’ve been anticipating the 27th as the most likely event date. 13th is still a possibility but I think they would avoid the 20th.
