So yea In a sense and even though we may not be literal rock music. Wayne Cudi ye uzi thug carti etc. all have punk aesthetic and carry themselves like punk acts. And just alotta rappers in general have and dress like alotta punk rock stars and look up to rock acts anyways.

    Well put

The nigga walked around with niggas that looked like you, y’all thought he was crazy. If I did it, y’all gonna think these niggas are killers.”

yes, idgaf about the music itself when talking about this it's all about the behavior and essence

everytime i see uzi live i cant help but think "yea... this dude's a modern rockstar"

  • Rock just became synonymous with being “cool”/partying

Like the term “rock out” doesn’t mean to play an instrument

  • Nov 5, 2019

“This one white girl told me she hate white cock, thats when I knew hip hop was the new rock”

  • BRAVE

    Yes by Kanye stans

Other than that they're just rappers. Why does the rock genre have to be the standard for being an icon? F*** that, being a rapper is the new standard so there should be pride in it.

It's almost like there's a white man's w**** "black people aren't good enough" undertone to rockstars being held on a pedestal.

Far as dressing/style goes. Piercings face tats etc. it’s a lot coming from punk. Uzi and thug style could be compared to it. They obvi not doing controversial s*** like the S***Pistols lmao

  • Prbz

The rapper rockstar s*** started with Wayne tbh

Rock star lifestyle might not make it

Wow jim Jones wasn’t running around in 06 screaming rockstar this and that which Weezy took and blew up even bigger?

Vintage t shirts , spike belts , wallet chains. Fitted jeans ripped up.

    Pharrell also.

Kanye was wearing bow ties and a suit then.
Ye Stan’s Try and give him credit for everything.

True. I didn’t really word it well. But I meant you can clearly see punk influence on these new rappers. As most of the concerts are very similar to punk concerts aswell. But I see where you’re coming from

More so rappers can be considered rockstars off imagery and style. And at some times behavior. And we have seen over time how rappers even musically have did it aswell.
