it sucks. parents are in a position even if you don't want to expose your children to the internet/social media at too young of an age, you risk your child falling behind socially/etc.

Like social media is f***ing awful and is harmful for adults even let alone kids
But then again social life is so much intertwined with social media and will only get worse so you really are setting them back socially
It's crayz i think our gen is gonna end up being a lot more strict bc our parents werent rly that internet savvy and rly had no idea what kinda f***ed up s*** we were seeing
No matter what you do they'll find a way to be online. The best way to counter this is to get them into activities and sports so they become more interested and engaged in what's going on irl than online. Of course I don't want them to completely shun going online so there is a balancing act here. My ideal scenario is that they go online mainly to do productive things.
