I was so sad that they ruined it. It was supposed to be a trilogy at first

They were cool ideas that got too popular and became a cash cow, which made a bunch of other franchises (esp. those owned by Ubisoft) copy their design so they got even more watered down. I respect the AC games for being so ambitious in the representation of historical locations, that's where the real enjoyment from the series came for me

The hype around the time of the Ezio trilogy really adds to the experience. I dont feel it's worth picking it up now if you miss out on that. Same energy as COD btw
