Rap has always had decades of artists using similar production idk where this idea comes from that in the 90s every rapper has their own song style. They are just as similar back then as they are now.

Recency bias + people love acting like their era was better and that the newer generation sucks, each generation has gone through the same phases it's just that this time there's more going on due to things like social media/progressiveness, etc.,
I don’t think I ever will, probably because it was the first genre I was introduced to
How the f*** can I outgrow my culture I was born and raised in?
Visitor guest colonizer yakubian ass question and I’m not reading that wall of bullshit
There are soooo many artists out there rn who can full whatever your need is as a listener, and it doesn’t even take too long to find them
“ i cant fw 808 and hi hats with autotune screeching when im driving to work in the morning?? it's not relatable in the moment..“
Every Single other era had more diversity in aura and essence despite similar technique
Rappers the last 3-4 years are clones to the max
"only use this music for partying.. why is everyone so obsessed with partying 24/7 now? like i cant understand where 95% of everyone else's time is devoted to?? i cant fw 808 and hi hats with autotune screeching when im driving to work in the morning?? it's not relatable in the moment.."
Cuz is SCREAMING I don't get b****es😂
Rap is becoming the fast food of music
Yes because mainstream pop/country/rock s*** isn't repetitive and souless at all

i swear people tend to forget that black culture isn't only Hip-hop, there is plenty of other music genre made by black people that i f*** with. Disliking or outgrowing hip-hop doesn't automatically make you anti-black or a racist.
Eh, I don’t think you can outgrow a genre of music. You probably just had poor taste in music to begin with & have begun to outgrow that sound...

Rap goes in cycles tbh.
Last decade we were in the "ringtone rap" era than that transitioned to the blog era (drake kendrick cole etc) Than the soundcloud era came. Something else is obviously gonna follow that.
rn definitely feels like the tiktok era to me, hopefully it doesn't last much longer...hoping that the next era is a continuation of blog rap with forums and hip hop mags/influencer cosigns. tiktok era is bland and lacks the experimentation of soundcloud. we need to bring "the real" back to rap while pushing the genre forward sonically (moving away from 2 step hi hats and distorted 808s on every hit song)
