    i find that whenever i use a limiter, when i push it to reach a lufs of around -8 or so my mix always gets distorted or it loses its punch, basically what can i do to my mix so that i can limit it up to my target lufs without squashing it?

    nah fr
    my cracked version on drums wouldnt even soften the transient it would make it louder, which never made sense to me because its a saturation plug

    the real version actually gives you more headroom while making the source perceptually louder

    Should i cop the whole bundle? I really like the decapitator and the crystilizer is f***ing magic , never used the other ones too much

    yeah , me too lol there are so many options and manipulations u can do with just one plugin which is why i'm tempted tbh , especially with this rare discount

    would you say most professional mixers use this on rap songs now? I have thrown some reference tracks into my mixes to check and sometimes they go over 0 db and their integrated lufs is -8

    Well a soft clipper is pretty much a limiter but it doesn't remove the punchyness of the track. I'm not sure what the professionals do but I find soft clippers handy on the master track

    There’s plugins you can get. I use Izotope maximizer sometimes for it and set the mode to Soft. Ive never used Ableton but I bet there’s a way to do it

    So do you only use a maximiser? Or use a maximiser then a limiter if needed

    Yea usually just use Izotope maximiser/Fruity Softclipper. If I need to boost the levels a bit I'll just mess with the threshold.

    I'm not a professional engineer or anything I'm just going off what I think has sounded good for me in the past
