Its crazy how low the levels of the bass in commercial hip hop tracks really are
For the longest i’d have it so loud but making sure its felt more than heard has brought my mixes up to commercial loudness
i need help with this what do you do instead

Valhalla is great overall. VintageVerb is my go-to reverb for vocals and drums

You gotta IG? Details!
Anyone really good at mixing willing to give me feedback on something?
Lemme hear it. @burningaudio on ig
Been thinking about buying stems for a couple of beats I’ve been recording to.
I got bad experience buying stems though. Last time I bought stems the snares were panned to the right like how they were in the original and overall I could tell the dude left a lot of his presets on the drums and the sample.
If I buy stems should I make sure to specify to the producer that I want the dry stems only? Or should I get the wet ones too? Just feels weird since stems cost upwards $75 usually and I wanna make sure I get my money’s worth when I hire someone to mix and master it.
Or should I just save myself the headache and just buy an untagged wav file ‘cause that’s been working fine for me so far lol
Get wet and dry ones if u getting a pro to mix it. Sometimes producers be so amateur the stems will
be worse than the 2 track.
I had a client go get an exclusive on a beat & that s*** had a loud ass click noise on the 808 stem. And the hoe ass producer didnt want to bounce it again.
Anyone know what this vocal effect is called?
!https://youtu.be/kPPyUO6m3-4It’s directly under the main vocal just a slight underwater delay type effect, it’s way louder on this song
!https://youtu.be/OZQ95UYnNVgon keef track it Sounds like a fast delay witn a bandpass. Maybe a phaser too.
