I don't wanna drop the money on one right now but jeez I would love emulations such as the the LA-2A, 1176, Fairchild, Neve 1073, Pultec, SSL channel strips and maybe some reverbs. lol I'm needy

also, which interface do you recommend?

It depends on what ur budget is

Don’t get an Arrow, Twin or Quad. I have a Quad but only because it’s processing power is faster

If u want to splurge into a x6, or x8 go for it. I’d say it’s worth it

Damn the X6 is over $2k. If I ever start making money off of music, it would be worth the investment I'm sure. Thanks for the suggestions!

How do you go about de-essing vocals when mastering a single track song? I’m helping my friend master his album but the vocals get so harsh

been doing subtractive eq then expansion then compression will experiment further.
but i fr cant see anything online about people using expanders on vocals the s*** is literal magic and i stumbled upon it recently

Top engineers regularly do this. OTT is the name of the game. Expansion really the GOAT

@Merguez @nomadfox @brixkhead2000 Thanks guys, I'll hit yall up as soon as we finish our next track.

We dont do regular rap songs tho, its like oriental singing music with rnb or hip hop elements

If yall are familiar with the German and French hiphop scene, thats kinda our type of music direction but not completely (Soolking, Mero, Nimo, etc)

If yall are still up for it, I will definitely hit yall up

    mixingwithmike.com

ive posted this guy before but honestly he is the top 1 for mixing tutorials anywhere and his monthly subscription is only like $25 all access

nobody else goes into the depth he does regarding the entire mixing process from start to finish for such a low price

Alot of my stuff is really mono and lacks stereo width. How can I improve the mix to make things more wider?

what r u doing in terms of effects? what software? and process?

Using ableton with mainly stock plugins for EQ, compression. simple delay, saturator, multiband dynamics.

I've got fab filter also but haven't used it as much as I do with stock plugins which don't stress the s*** outta my cpu either.
