So I’ve learned vocal layering is important,
And to record a second take under the main to give a fuller sound
But as far as auto-tuned vocals is there really a need to double those?

Yeah it still adds body to them, I think it's a creative decision tho.
I personally like layering autotune vocals
Anyone know how to add that “crisp” sound effect to vocal recordings while mixing?
For years I always notice that that is the thing that separates good bad vocals in my head, it’s like an effect that makes the s*** just sound crisp idk how else to describe it

How in the f*** does Mike Dean get that 3D sound like in album in my avi
stereo separation
tell me more
When you’re listening to music there’s a left channel and right channel (stereo) typically most of the sounds lay in the middle of the mix but you can enhance the stereo image by side/mid EQ, reverb or stereo shaper vsts. Doing that will give sounds more space on the stereo spectrum and add depth to the left and right sides of the mix giving it a fuller and more dynamic sound
(I’m also assuming that’s what you meant by “3D” in your post )

Oh nah like the echos and s*** really sound like they're another layer in the background. The drums pop up at you like they're holographic. S*** is crazy. I assume it's some forbidden knowledge Mike Dean is using
