democrats don’t differ from republicans in that way at all they love american hegemony as well and wanna preserve it look at the Israel support for example

True but Republicans are much more thorough with the nationalism

You do know more people voted Republican in NJ and NY in 2020 than Iowa, Utah, Kansas, Arkansas, and Mississippi combined did lol

Well considering the population yes that makes sense, I’m just saying I’ve never seen it be so republican. As I’ve said in a post I just made this is just what I’ve been encountering personally it’s just anecdotal ik but I def feel a shift

Both Biden and Trump f***ed us with those checks. Biden funding a war didn't help either but it's a mix of both if we're being real. Too easy to blame Biden and give Trump a pass for it

Right but niggas don’t think like that

All they remember is money drying up while Biden is sitting in the chair

Nah I feel ya, I just don't see any states filliping realistically other than the 6 battleground states from 2020

Most are too entrenched to really flip

the checks were objectively a good thing

the us government does bare minimum in social services already, it was the least they could do

any competent leader of any country would’ve done it. It’s not some particularly unique or devastating idea.

The whole “people had more disposable income but spent it irresponsibly” was a lie the media pandered to shift focus away from coporations refusing to raise wages

If you mean in reality, sure, but most people do not believe that at all. A lot of people think Democrats want to kill off all those things, there's people who legitimately believe Democrats are going to force gay marriage mandates on people and stuff

Just traditionally blue states, I mean idk just from being in NJ/NY I’ve never heard so many people be openly republican in such a traditionally liberal place

NJ flips govs pretty frequently. most of the burbs are red, cities blue

Is that the discussion? I wouldn't expect Republicans to give aid but their policies tend to promote general economic health which I think is what people want

that too ofc, but in the absence of good policy, messaging is where you'd think they would work to be better at displaying to Americans why life is better under them, which they struggle with in part because the lack of policy for sure.

but Rs dont let their lack of or s*** policy get in the way of signaling whatever they want to their constiuency.

The reality is that the establishment has done the most they can/want to in the field of liberation politics and bringing about social equality

The economy and ideology of rich/corporate America is directly tied to its past of being a slavers/plantation economy. The American economy is directly reliant on the oppression and Exploitation of its minorities, especially black folk

Both democrat and Republican Party politicians realize this and gain benefit from working around it

However, the Democrat party will always be positioned as the party of progress. How can you progress while retaining the oppression that you benefit from? You can’t! So they’ll either make lip service, embarrassing performative acts, or straight up lies (the George Floyd act increasing police funding, the dashiki kneel, painting a road)

The republican party is honest in its racism and disdain for progress. And most Americans, raised on honesty and morals, will vote the honest party after decades of being lied to, since both sides create the same outcome

We will never see private prison abolition, universal healthcare, climate change policy, universal education, labor democracy, or any other act that frees the normal man from their work through either party

  • Mar 12, 2024

most people also dont care to dig into the facts.

there was that thread in life sxn some months ago of someone trying to show why the R talking point of grocery prices being out of control was rather phony.

people hear what they wanna hear, and will never go back through their receipts to see if it actually adds up

U right I feel like it's maybe a healthy thing to purge out the upper class, but that's neither the interest of the democrats or the republicans

ive been holding this one off for a minute bc i didn’t want to believe it myself, but holy s*** im seeing a lot of niggas (and latinos, and pretty much every poc) that becoming alt-righters every day now. so much so that i fully believe now that it’s “cool” to be far right at this point. what the f*** happened man bc biden, while far from perfect, has been doing a seemingly ok job given the circumstances. has social media and “the culture” rotted niggas brains this much? i need to know cause goddamn man

    it’s cool now

You answered your own question bro. It’s a combination of that, hating Biden (valid reasons), there being no one better that will actually win, and a lack of education
