I didn’t get much out of the first one. The second was gorgeous.
nice yeah you like that Song Of The Sea from last year too. she has such an insanely pure voice.
been reading a ton of great archival interviews and articles in this
Dave Gilmour acknowledging that Ray is the goat right after DSOTM came out;
" I remember when the band was recording, See Emily Play. Syd rang me up and asked me to come along to the studio. When I got there he gave me a complete blank. He was one of the greatest rock and roll tragedies. He was one of the most talented people and could have given a fantastic amount. He really could write songs and if he had stayed right he could have beaten Ray Davies at his own game"
Where's the French bops my francophilian @DELON
I checked out Serge's album and am pretty sure he was singing about s*** and piss and t*** and d*** most of the time
prog rock interpretation of a brel song

so good even john couldn't find it in himself to disparage it. I have to say the version featured on 'One Hand Clapping' might be my preferred rendition.

"One Hand Clapping is a live-in-studio album by the British–American rock band Paul McCartney and Wings, released on 14 June 2024, nearly fifty years after it was recorded."
I really like how raw the record is. Definitely worth checking out if you're into Macca/Beatles/Wings material.

Band On The Run is a major classic for me definitely gonna check it out. 1985 the most left field voice Paul had pulled out since Rocky Raccoon.

Bowie; "I've gone through a lot of changes. A whole lot of changes. It's all happened on my way back from Japan. You see, Roy, I've seen life and I think I know who's controlling this damn world and after what I've seen of this state of this world, I've never been so damn scared in my life"
Roy; "are you going to write about it?"
Bowie; "If I did, it would be my last album ever"
