It’s not my favorite Cale album, but it’s still great work. Crazy I used to ever dismiss the guy.

Could never get into these guys

  • underrated Can album, post Suzuki, very fusion oriented

While this is a glam rock masterpiece and a great closer for an excellent last record…

...it’s this track that’s the real final mission statement for a still underappreciated band.

Genesis dropped a mystic masterpiece that took me years to sink in,went from a 6 to almost a 10/10. Gabriel's best performance with them and the compositions work in a much different way to anything they did before. Even though its still insanely proggy it partially points the way toward both further Genesis and Peter solo while still being totally unique. also one of the most esoteric concepts, still have no idea what its about

even with Steve Hackett being significantly less prominent now than previous albums, every other band member is at their top level

thank you for highlighting this. Never got into Genesis tbh but this was a great listen

Listening to this song and then Emmylou’s Boulder To Birmingham back to back is painful.

Lennon pushed Nilsson so hard that in the process he permanently damaged his vocals and never sounded the same again. You can hear all that pain and passion in this recording.

I gave it a few spins. Pretty cool but Nilsson rarely slays me. Already had the album queued up for some marinating tho.
