@RASIE wants this played at his funeral
Damn straight
Hurry up and get to their best album already
I was pretty impressed with that Peter Hammill album. Forsaken Garden is the highlight for me, but a Louse is A Not a Home is incredible too. I just won’t be throwing it on very often.

Painkiller?
You still think they have the widest range of time between top tier material?
September Gurls is as flawless of a pop song as Don’t Worry Baby or Bizarre Love Triangle, but these are the two tracks that have stuck with me the most off of Radio City.

One of the best R&B songs. So damn pretty.
Hey Joe/Piss Factory first listen
Can't believe I didn't know about these
Queen Patti arrives
piss factory is great but to me her Hey Joe has always been yet another in an endless string of mid versions save for Jimi's
I didn’t realize this was from this year. Good pick.
I always forget just how lovely her version of it is. Apparently Alex Chilton used to cover it live in the late 70’s and I get why. At that point it wasn’t this melodramatic over produced thing, but a pure emotive country ballad.
Willie masterpiece peak emotional resonance and breakup songwriting. the musicality of all the arrangements and especially piano parts is incredible. always amazing how his vocal delivery is deceptively non-musical since its so conversational but his off-kilter phrasing and knowing exactly which parts to emphasize is masterful. and hes in full understanding of his powers at this point
looks like a lot of good footage on youtube

Third might have higher highs, but this is their most consistent. This is the one all those 80’s and 90’s alternative bands are looking at it. Although songs like Holocaust on Third are as proto Radiohead as some of the Robert Wyatt stuff.
Some of these aren’t loading for me. Which tracks are they?
Tenement Funster Flick of the wrist Lily of the Valley Suite on Sheer Heart Attack
Killer Queen
White Queen
Nevermore
The March of the Black Queen
Waylon dropped 2 great ones. This TIme includes 4 covers from that Willie Nelson album which is kinda wild. Ramblin Man title track a total classic

Thank you. I never really gave Queen much of a chance, but I’ve been interested more lately.

Ooooooh this a good one. I love his delivery. That little quiver. I go by album release, so this’ll be on my best of 75 playlist.
