That dude will defend western interference in every country. No point arguing lol
Nigga asked my proof as if there ain’t over 100 years of US intervention
We should have committed more energy and priority to afghanistan.
Half assing it is what caused failure
i try to be as polite as possible with u but you’re genuinely so deeply misinformed on the world
i urge you to take a more critical approach to these issues you speak on. your heart tends to be in the right place, but you lack awareness
watch bitter lake by adam curtis, i’m begging you
I thought everyone knew in 2021 the western world never actually cared about the people living in the middle east
nah ppl are genuinely lost out here

I've seen bitter lake by adam curtis, I used to take the line that any and all intervention was bad.
My more detailed point is, if we had never gone into Afghanistan at all, the final outcome would have been no different to what we are about to enter now, with Taliban controlling it.
IF we wanted to do afghanistan, let's be honest the motive for going was to shut down terror operations. The Bush admin didnt give a f*** about the longer term. I'm saying IF we wanted to do afghanistan, half assing it is worse than not even doing it in the first place. We half assed it so it was all pointless
The first few years of the war in afghanistan had the taliban in such deep disarray victory wasnt even unlikely. NATO dropped the ball cause they didnt care, and the final outcome is arguably a bit worse than never having gone to begin with.

I’m fairly sure many people would still be alive if the US never intervened.
Those 44 people who died in a wedding in Afghanistan? I’m sure they were happy to die for freedom and democracy!

I am quite well informed, I simply do not agree with you on everything. This should not be taken to mean I enjoy wanton slaughter as that is ridiculous.
Clearly Brezhnev was also a classical white liberal for invading afghanistan back in the 80s and arguably kicking off this chain reaction
And I’m so sure their family members LOVE the United States for killing their family members, they’re probably so thankful that those terrible terrorists are now gone!

The northern alliance of Afghanistan worked with the united states to establish a government who the US then worked to train
Do the people of Afghanistan live america? No that's stupid and reductive. Is it universal hatred and do many acknowledge the defense america has given them? Absolutely
Also how is an accidental killing by america any worse than a deliberate massacre of Hazara people by Taliban? Seriously.
That dude will defend western interference in every country. No point arguing lol
Not true
I believe the iraq war was a blunder and huge mistake we should be ashamed of. Youre the one making assumptions about me here
People are way more complex than you might think lol

It isn't when speaking pure ethics, but what is america doing there in the first place

And it fell apart as soon as the Taliban realized that guerrilla warfare would work better, this is how terrorists are created, some personal slight will make people take action against the people who have wronged them.
Why couldn't any other President do this sooner again?
alright tuxedo doom 2024
Understandable
I pity the women of Afghanistan about to re enter taliban rule
Nice CIA talking points

America was initially there with the aim of tracking bin laden. After the northern alliance took back control of much of the country, bin laden fled.
The us half assed it and made the final outcome worse

in 2021 idk how many people still don't realize this the case

US actually thought a Islamic Fundamentalist country would take their culture
