You forget it's 17 year olds who go off and do their own thing even after being made aware of this by their parents. Like I said they think they got it all figured out but they don't, most eventually realize that sooner rather than later realistically.

No matter how you try to split it, if a grown dude is actively seeking teenagers/high school girls it's almost always to take advantage of them being young, dumb, and rebellious. In the doc it seemed like dude was trying to stay away at times when her family was around and he wouldn’t reply to her texts and calls throughout it.

Seems like she treated it as a relationship when in reality it was just a fling that went on longer than it should’ve and he probably knew it was wrong too but was just clout chasing tbh. Either way he’s still a weirdo for entertaining any of it.

At 19 I was living in a college dorm getting trashed like almost everyday with my frat, being an idiot, and didn't care about anything or had personal responsibility.

At 21 I lived on my own, had a 9-5 the days I wasn't in class, was volunteering, and living in the middle of a city.

Most importantly, every individual is different. It's men AND women who are 25 with no jobs, not in school, just at home all day, don't have any real maturity or aspirations.

Stop this one-rule for age differences fits all narrative. Especially when the differences are just literally 2-3 years.

responsibilities is anecdotal from our two experiences.
there are 14, 15, 16 year olds that have more responsibility than a lot of us have now - literally having to take care of their parents or other siblings on top of having to work part time and go to school

responsibility between and 18 and 21 year old are anecdotal enough that you can make an argument for it but there's no way it'll be enough to be a blanket statement

brain development? i mean if you're going to claim this i'm going to need some type of study or research that shows 21 year olds and 18 year olds are so far apart in brain development it would be immoral for them to have a relationship
