dxz99Nah. Alot of people say witch hazel is actually great for locs. I use a little bit it in my oil mixtures and to get rid of sweat after working out. Helped alot with battling build up, to the point where I barely have any.

Also I’ve had my box braids in since late February, I haven’t taken them out because I want to keep the protective style, I have 4c hair that I moisturize everyday. Should I take them out and wash them and then maybe do twists or corn rolls? Or should I just wash the braids I have now I’m not experienced with braids yet lol

It all depends what hairstyle you going for
If you have curly hair, you should wash it more often that if you want freeform.
1-2 times a week did it for me.
