even with the my s*** would be just enough to hang. or be like 2" or so with the usual loc shrinkage

imo towel gets a more freeform results

I just did random finger coils last time, no even parting, if you start off with that and dont retwist it's kinda semi freeform

Start with a full head, you can switch it up if you're not f***ing with it after but not the other way around

speaking from personal experience, i know protective styles such as braids or twists promote hair growth as well
