Crying at the heat damage part

Preciate it and I hope you feeling encouraged too, your hair knows what to do and if you give it time, care and a chance to breathe it will reward you

Freeforms: stop combing it and doing maintenance and it will naturally start dreading slowly

Not freeform: Otherwise you can go get them done at salon/someone using know to do comb coils/twists if you’re hair is long enough

yo should i free form or get one more retwist ? i’m gonna fade the sides either way

i don’t got 4c hair my texture kinda hard to explain. i can show a pic of what my big afro used to look like.

i’m tryna go for the king of the fall weeknd look eventually and i know he free formed but i’m p sure he got nappier hair than me.

weeknd biracial ass also doesnt have 4c hair, if you want your s*** to look even remotely like his definitely don't get a twist, let it rock

Once they get mature enough and begin to really look like dreads its up to you

When the new growth comes in it will look a lot less uniform and maintained so you if you want to keep your dreads looking clean you should retwist

because ive really gotten used to the twist comb. ive tried to twist with my hands twice and i just kept untangling it. idk which way is clockwise or counterclockwise

You're right that he's Ethiopian but where you getting your information on usual hair types

You gotta remember that's a really big and diverse place - I think most people think of looser curls when they think of Eritreans and Ethiopians especially women from there/that have roots there but I'm Eritrean and my hair is very much 4c

@chasewalked what makes you say that? Italy did have a strong presence in that part of the horn so you could be right but you sound sure as hell on this lmao
