You gotta remember that's a really big and diverse place - I think most people think of looser curls when they think of Eritreans and Ethiopians especially women from there/that have roots there but I'm Eritrean and my hair is very much 4c

also my locs are freeform so there is no pulling on the roots that one would result in a receding hairline
