I'm SO CURIOUS how they adapted it. I didn't even know it was airing until after I started.
You will NOT regret it. So f***ing well written and unique. There's no way that s*** wasn't changed for the show .

you gotta get on it! it's a short watch and the show really is something special. I remember reading a lot of book readers being fans of the changes made and loving the adaptation.
It's definitely on my list now tho

Good s***. I'm excited now. Have a feeling we're both gonna love the other medium
I don't think that's on you. You deserve to read a book that captures your attention. For me, I noticed I will grativate towards something more interesting when a book becomes overly wordy, especially fiction. But I will keep on reading when it's non-fiction and I get the answers I want without fluff. I also love poetry because it's just that, beautiful, condensed and memorable. It's ok to stop and start reading something else because it's not what you expected it to be. I really don't think it's you, I think a lot of books out there are just not good despite all the hype they're getting.
I knowwww, the struggle. I will try to read a book on the NYT Bestseller or Oprah's book club list and feel bad about myself for days because I keep putting it down to read something else and then I realize it's just not for me. I read my books like I watch my movies. If it's not resonating with me in that moment, it could be the greatest book in history, it's not working for me. lol
that's fine, also i lied I'm flying to nyc for valentine's day
Few chapters in on The Myth of Normal and i can tell it's got real power and truth in it
Starting these two babies: Desert Transcendentalist, the art of Agnes Pelton and Another World which also has some of her art. Really more pictures than text but I'm so happy I got them. Also finishing another book I binge-read on my flights to and from NYC.
Reading The Trial by Kafka right now.
1/3 in and its really interesting. Curious where the book will go.
Anyone read something from Beckett?
No idea where to start with him. I dont wanna start with Godot because I dont really like plays
