Haven't read in 2 months it's over
last book i read was salems lot a couple months back
not even this tbh (though i did DNF that book in the past lol); it’s just a matter of me looking at the words and not being able to process them, even though ik i’m capable of comprehending them. like, i have all these books on my shelf that i’ve been DYING to read, but i can’t get in the headspace for some reason…my brain just won’t allow me to sometimes. i’ve been able to pummel through one piece though without a problem lol
idk how else to explain my predicament i probably sound like a psycho
I know what you're saying, I get that brain fog too sometimes. You feel like you just can't get started with books. It's low-key something I struggle with so I start multiple books at the same time. One of them ends up catching my interest so I continue with that one

Funny lol that's the last one I downloaded and was planning to read next

honestly, i’m gonna give this a shot. i’ve always been a one book kinda guy, but if i can pick up multiple books and see what hooks me first, then in theory that can give me the ability to make choices much easier…i hope it’ll work out for me thank you

it’s pretty good! the characters feel like cardboard cutouts at times, but overall i enjoyed it
see, every time i do this the books just end up sitting on my shelf
that’s on me
well yea i deal with that too but i guess lately the newest books i pick up, i tend to read right away
Also maybe starting small. Jumping straight into a Sanderson tome of a book might not do bro any favors lol
lol that too, lately i've been reading books under 300 pages
Finished “Dopamine Nation” by Anna Lembke last week. A great read with some good insights about addiction. Really made me reflect on my own battle with addiction
i’m in a reading slump rn, i feel like everything i wanna pick up im just not in the mood for at the moment :/ really wanna get over this feeling of anxiousness…how do yall manage to stay focused and encouraged to read when at home?
sorry if i asked this question before - i find a lot of self-fulfillment and pleasure in reading, it’s just sometimes i get too much in my head lol
this happens to all readers and there are times you just don't feel like reading
what I find helpful is trying different genres and always having books that excite me on my TBR list
also having a dedicated time and place to read, if not at home then even going to the park with the goal of reading and only bringing a book

if i may ask, what are your reading habits like? when and where do you usually like to read?

not that intense tbh, I probably read like 30 minutes before bed every night and if I can find the time 30 minutes sometime during the day
some days I won't read at all and some days I'll read for two hours straight
consistency is the key tho, around 30-45 minutes a day can easily get you to a book a week
whats a reading challenge i can do in 2025
Read one book in a genre you've never explored before

yeah that tends to happen, personally it ends when i find a book that catches my interest for whatever i’m feeling at the moment
Havent Read a novel since the summer man I need to get back on it. Been exclusively reading non fiction

nothing wrong with letting it breathe for a second, reading like anything other entertainment should be done for pleasure first and foremost
that being said either copping new books (I only thrift now bc it helps me not go too crazy) and watching booktubers get me back in the game usually
just got an audible membership for 99 cents for one month only so i could use the $20 credit that comes along with it
11/22/63 (used credit for this)
musashi
hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy
autobiography of malcom x
piranesi
slaughter-house five
and i still got like $1.50 left
~300 pages into 11/22/63 and I’m LOVING it so far
would you recommend for someone who doesn't have a strong interest in (or deep knowledge of) the JFK assassination?

1000%!! I wasn’t a Stephen King fan and I didn’t know/care much about the JFK assassination apart from random documentaries I’ve seen growing up but it ended up being my favorite read of the year and a new one of my favorites of all time.
