For me the best Zeldas are the original for NES and BOTW, the linearity of the other ones is way less exciting to me than the legit sense of open-world mystery those two have

If you haven't yet, I'd really recommend aying the original, it feels more like BOTW than any of the others despite the graphical limitations. Use save states out the ass but don't search for any hints online, finding the secrets for yourself feels amazing

Don't know if y'all have mentioned it but Nintendo's own Bill Trinen has said that the Sequel to BotW already has a subtitle, but they are not ready to give it away yet since it can hint at things about the game that they are not ready to share yet.

I recently played zelda 1 on nes app and while i think it aged surprisingly well for a nes game, without a guide of some sort its really hard to progress and in general its a lot harder than the other zeldas bar zelda 2. Its the type of game that needs patience to complete but its ultimately rewarding and exploring the overworld is fun despite lacking of details as its a 1987 game
