Elliot seems like he would dig Radiohead more tbh

He was big into the 60s/70s britrock stuff too though so it makes sense he'd be into Supergrass

These bands mostly respected enough, maybe not Razorlight...

Now The Enemy, Pigeon Detectives, The Kooks etc is the real landfill indie connoisseur taste

This article is a great way to spend a couple of hours

A literal Britpop focused podcast covered it for an entire episode. It’s listed online in sales as Britpop. It’s in numerous Britpop related lists. It’s referenced in articles about Britpop. It’s Britpop. End!!!

Thank you. Primal Scream, The Stone Roses, and Happy Monday’s are often listed as proto examples. Surprised no one’s giving me s*** for Travis, Muse, and Coldplay. They’re listed at the end for the same reason the other three are at the beginning because they essentially function as the end point, what signaled post britpop.

I legit dont give a f***...screamadelica is not britpop i feel it in my bones...just cause some podcast needed to pad out its episode count...that being said...it really doesnt matter....so fine....that makes loaded the undisputed best britpop song then

First released in 1988, the La’s proto-Britpop classic “There She Goes” eventually found chart success when a remixed version was re-issued in 1990 – arguably predicting the scene more than five years before it happened.

Yes it’s as if I’m acknowledging it’s “proto” but also thinking it’s essential enough to include.

That is correct, why would you be tripping? Youll notice we did our Blackstar listening party 2 days before he passed away what a week

Thought you'd like those Knight Of Cups and Le Haine recreations too

Nah i didn't take a proper look at it that's all was glancing over it on my tiny phone screen and i guess my eyes were just immediately drawn to the Bowie drawing. I'll peep the rest rn on my laptop

Also Blackstar is a f***ing classic so much weight to that album though given it's backstory. True artist
