  • He just announced two new stadium concerts, in Singapore and in Thailand

  • But he said these shows in Japan would be the final ones before the next era

Unless heā€™s about to drop new music and these performances in March and April in Asia are part of the promo?

Believe it or not, the era is lowkey still going on šŸ’€

These shows in Japan are the end of this era officially, as Bruno said it himself last year.

The tour ended in 2018, but these standalone concerts he has been doing since 2022 have the same setlist and visuals with some minor changes (Leave The Door Openā€¦)

We could say Silk Sonic was part of the 24k Magic era. It essentially was a pandemic project, after him and Anderson originally made a song in 2017 when Anderson was opening for him. Thematically, itā€™s an extension of the 24k Magic album (like a b-side album or something): both R&B albums, Las Vegas, lyrics about materialism, seduction, romanceā€¦ different styles of R&B tho

Those two collaborations Please Me and Wake Up In The Sky are also 24k!

The 24k Magic world tour ended December 2018. And Silk Sonic started a new era in 2021. Nothing else makes sense lol it doesn't matter if his setlist stayed the same

Since itā€™s the new trend right now, just wanna say Bruno already did the 90s thing seven years ago

    So underrated

  • The love Bruno gets around the world is wild. People basically worship the ground he walks on šŸ˜ meanwhile in his country, I feel like he wouldn't even be a support act in a festival like Bonnaroo

Itā€™s done. Bruno just finished the 7th and final night of his Japan concerts.

The biggest shows by an international act in Japan in the 21st century, and international act with the most dates at the Tokyo Dome since MJ and the Rolling Stones in the 90s.

And he just announced two more dates in Singapore in April due to the high demand. He said that THIS TIME these are actually the final shows before the next era.

I kinda see it. Iā€™d like a more modern infused album next time around I think.

Donā€™t get me wrong, 24k and Silk are amazing but itā€™s time for a new direction

  • Thatā€™s What I Like is kinda what Iā€™m thinking

His best work and fan favorite so far is Unorthodox Jukebox, not 24K Magic.

    Itā€™s his most representative project.

But his discography is so short. Thereā€™s still so much for him to explore. His career has turned 14 years old and he has done so much but it feels, music wise, that heā€™s in the early years of his career. He only has 41 songs I think.

Unorthodox Jukebox was originally supposed to be way ā€œdarkerā€, as Bruno wanted to change completely his image coming from his first album, but it was changed later for a more ā€œtraditional" album. Gorilla was the first song he made and it set the tone for the project.

But itā€™s still a darker album, of course. Gorilla, Locked Out of Heaven, Money Make Her Smile, Natalie follow this tone. I believe Young Girls, If I Knew, Treasure, Show Me came after the change. Lyrics wise, only Treasure has ā€œpositiveā€ lyrics. Everything else is either sexual or chauvinistic.

Would like to see him returning to some ideas from that album and expanding into new directions, since I hope we are now done with R&B, funk and the whole pimp thing. Would like more rock and reggae influences again, and definitely more personal and mature lyrics exploring different topics because both 24K and SS had the same themes.

    2012-2014 šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø an era

The R&B albums are great and all, showing another side of him, but THIS is really Bruno Mars imo. His personal style, influences were all here. Pop, reggae, rock, doo-wop, balladry, the tropical imagery, etc.
