Jul 20, 2020·editedI just watched the whole South Carolina video and it was actually not as bad as I thought it'd be (even though the audio was wack lol). He might not be the ideal president, but he said many things that I liked and that were inspiring. While I doubt he's ready to actually run the biggest country in the world, I think many of his ideas/innovations/philosophies could enrich and make a difference in society if he was given the tools and worked together with good people, as he has done in some of his other creative collaborations. I don't live in the US but would be dope to get a vision of what a man with his ideas and passions could bring to the world if he actually became the president.

He has a team that's been assembled that took years in the making. He has experience pushing legislation through Congress. He has actual political and economic knowledge and the ability to articulate himself in ways that dwarf Kanye's impassioned rants. I'm no f***ing Biden fan but it's gotten to the point where I actually have to defend someone like him because people here are so deluded into thinking that this s*** is more simple than it actually is.

Oh it's a huge issue. Anti-intellectualism is a big problem and it was kinda spearheaded by Trump and "fake news." People with no actual knowledge shut down peer reviewed research by experts with tens of years in the field just because it doesn't align with what they want to believe. Emotions have replaced logic

This just simply isn’t true though is it. Yes there are issues which are contentious and divide opinion in scientific communities, but there are many more which are overwhelmingly supported by one side only.

Wait when did anyone say you have to agree with them? The point is that people no longer even ENGAGE with them and shut them down based on emotions because it goes against their party's desires and pre-existing beliefs. Something like 98% of climate scientists are in agreement that humans are drastically contributing to climate change for the worse and you still have so many morons in denial who have never even read a study or done an ounce of research
