Being against something doesn’t mean you don’t understand the implications of what it will bring
That comment confused me cus it’s the opposite. People against it are warning about these exact outcomes lol
Why not just listen to actual Drake? Like why would you listen to a worse version of it that isn’t even actually him?
Admittedly, I liked a lot of the Drake AI songs from last year.
I know that musically creative people have a problem with the "artistic integrity", but honestly, I don't really care about all of that.
Not saying it's right, but to me, as long as it sounds good - I really don't care if it's "real" or not.
For regular people who just want the music, what are your problems with AI music?
Again - Not saying that my view is right, but I'm interested to hear if there are more people who actually don't care if it's AI or real as long as it sounds good.
Would you rather have an actual painting with oil or a digital projection of what was painted? That’s the argument
Some silly pseudo intellectual bullshit
so you can't read huh
I'm saying people are reacting a certain way because the AI is a type of market competition in an industry where independent producers didnt historically compete against a mass produced alternative.
Ah yes, as long as you can make art there’s no reason to be concerned about AI because it’s all about “labor” and profit incentives
Thankfully this is why communism will never be taken seriously outside of the internet
no avy

Exactly doesn’t even make sense
I get that you look at music as a product but you don’t at least want to have something that feels human and has emotion behind it?
so you can't read huh

You’re trying to force this into some kind of market a***ysis when it has to do with the ethics of AI & consumption of AI music. All AI music, voice filters, etc are trained on a database of music made by humans. It’s a question of ethics because it’s all based on stolen music

AI generators exist so that somebody can make money and ethics never factor in, hope this basic information about how the world works helps
If AI makes better music than humans why should we not be allowed to listen to it?
And if you think AI music is trash (like I do) then why are you even worried?
It’s just gonna put a lot of amateur ‘musicians’ that make generic s*** out of business, so of course the ‘creatives’ of ktt are mad

smartest drake stan
“woahhh I can listen to some fourteen year old kid pretend to be drake but it has drakes voice”
It’s not human art
idc how “accepted” I’m sure it’ll be in the next decade or two, I ain’t supporting that bullshit
These billion dollar corporations only want to get richer and if they can take EVERY HUMAN out of the equations of ART to make more money, they will
F*** THAT S***

100%; if you are against something, you should understand the implications it will bring.
What I don't think the general public knows is how good LLM's are at creating written art already.
I was a hardcore proponent that "art needs a human component" to maintain artistic integrity until I started working with models that excel creatively. We are already on the cusp of not being able to tell if something; poetry, stories, screenplays, songs, were written by one of these models.
I honestly don't know how we're even going to be able to argue the "art needs a human component" sentiment when we're going to be unable to tell if something was created organically or non-organically without a blatant admission.
As an art lover, I'm both excited and terrified.

You typing this:
You need an explanation as to why people using AI to create fake songs of other artists, deceased or living, is a problem....?

This thread was getting depressing I’m glad some people still have a human brain
