Why not just listen to actual Drake? Like why would you listen to a worse version of it that isn’t even actually him?
1-2 mid 80 minute albums a year isn't enough
Honestly everything should be ai lol like f*** human input, emotions, reinvention, craftsman’s allat s*** OLD.
Gimmie more Ai.
That #sigma grindset
Speaking of real human art, need u to drop again
You typing this:
even if it was about ethics why should I care
nobody is coming to smash your laptop and repo your ableton license just because these internet toys exist, obviously the "threat" people talk about is reduced profits
Literally the only instance I can see AI being a useful tool is for someone like Beanie Sigel who has literally had his vocals destroyed and he can't rap the same way he used to. AI can come in to get his voice back to a point that he feels comfortable with.
He still has the capability of flowing well, still got the punchlines and wordplay. But he sounds nothing like he used to, and he has gone on record saying that's part of the reason why he feels slightly discouraged from rapping. AI voiceover work and help him get more comfortable with rapping again.
Now imagine some random no name decides to use AI to create a fake Jay Z or Drake verse in order to bring more attention to their music. That would be the lamest s*** somebody can ever do, and people will rightfully never take them seriously as an artist because they're inauthentic. Trying to cheat their way to fame and listens. That s*** is wack.

Reducing AI, something already being used by major corporations in film & marketing, to “internet toys” to make your argument make a modicum of sense is pretty in line with that picture

yeah dawg, companies automate to save money. thats been my point this whole time. and thats not something you can stop because you find automation "unethical" -- ethics never factor in, just the need to maximize profits.
people are gonna keep making music regardless of corporate AI slop. maybe one day we won't have art produced for profit but that requires a commitment to a better system.
It makes people upset cause if the vocal majority of people end up being on your side, the rest of us who prefer real s*** lose forever, with no choice in the matter.
Artists itt who wanna atleast try to make music for a living will never stand a chance, and real music will be harder and harder to find until theirs nothing but AI left
I understand this.
Nothing to see here, op has a pattern of consciously disregarding the ethics of art. Not saying there’s not potential artistic merit to AI or that this is a statement on how I feel about AI in art at all - just that it’s from a shallow place in this case given who made the thread
"op has a pattern of consciously disregarding the ethics of art."
Where do you get this from? All because I like AI? Or did you search my post history?
It's not that serious, fam.
You're really in your feelings.
@op asked why holograph performances aint take off LMAO
You gotta wonder how people like him even view humanity as a whole when they put artistic integrity in quotes.
You gotta wonder does he see every industry as nothing more than just a cog or a number in an assembly line willing to get to point A to point B.
Such a robotic and callous outlook on something as intrinsic as art is pathetic. As an actual artist I'd spit in your face real s***, you a b****.
just know that earth is just a rock without the voices of art
Lol @ "you a b****"
I don't like the idea of just treating music as something that sounds good and thats it
It means more (to me at least) than just something that stimulates you and that's it. Just like how visual art means more than just pretty pictures to look at.
Unfortunately a lot of people (and the industry) do look at it as a pure product to consume though. Just something to have on in the background and not think too much about
Now this is a mature response.
Would you rather have an actual painting with oil or a digital projection of what was painted? That’s the argument
As long as it looks good I really dont care.
But I get YOUR point!
I just don't look at art as "art", but more so a product.
And once again, not saying that's right.
I get that you look at music as a product but you don’t at least want to have something that feels human and has emotion behind it?
Yeah. I still listen to real music lol.
But I'm not going on a crusade against AI music.
If I find something I like that sounds good, I'm gonna listen.
Simple as that.
Honestly everything should be ai lol like f*** human input, emotions, reinvention, craftsman’s allat s*** OLD.
Gimmie more Ai.
If AI makes better music than humans why should we not be allowed to listen to it?
And if you think AI music is trash (like I do) then why are you even worried?
It’s just gonna put a lot of amateur ‘musicians’ that make generic s*** out of business, so of course the ‘creatives’ of ktt are mad
"If AI makes better music than humans why should we not be allowed to listen to it?"
The creatives on KTT will say, "Because its not real and there's no human emotion behind it."
Like I give AF, lol.
No disrespect to the creatives, but they are taking this s*** way too seriously.
Everyone against AI Music gonna get a rude awakening within the next decade. This s*** is going to be a money printer for record labels and every artist trapped in a 360 is gonna have their posthumous likeness signed away.
Brace yourselves.
That b**** in your avi is crazy af

I hear you, man. I really do. And I'm not disagreeing with you.
But if it sounds good, I'm gonna listen

No s***. I don’t understand why you feel the need to assume the role of the corporation in this argument to make this point when we all already know this s***. What bothers me is you’re trying to downplay the role AI is already playing in major media. Just cus something is the way it is doesn’t mean you can’t argue against it or feel it’s ethically wrong
This is how it begins
Drake just f***ed over the entire music world and his stans don’t give a damn because he’s “winning” a rap beef
One big issue of AI art is how its creativity is fundamentally different from human creativity. Let’s say you prompt an AI to generate a rap song, vs you deciding you want to make a rap song. AI will algorithmically generate something based around the average of all the rap songs in its database, which is often gigantic. A human creates based around the limited knowledge of the world, and when they create there are some things that a person may like and emphasize, as well as flaws of the actual person, their voice, personality etc. The flaws of something is what creates new art that resonates, the experiences of the human
