As a term or this new lifestyle niggas are tryna live?
Cause Cudi is Mr. Rager but the s*** niggas on now using that is not how it was when Cudi was doing shows in the early rager days
yeah you’re right. but i was tryna figure out when exactly trav adopted the aesthetic. i remember during my senior year of high school i saw my friends feeding into the trav “rager” thing but like the other user said, that’s def when it peeked
Travis will be fine but Astroworld is finished
Also his rollout is done too, his albums getting pushed back
If he cleans up his image and drops the rager gimmick then yeah
I don't think Travis has it in him, BUT a "light" album with messages like humility and empathy would be beautiful.
Racists really come out of the woods to s*** on him even though they didn’t know of his existence till this incident.
Any non rap fans automatically hate rappers that make news beyond the culture, positive or negative lol
That being said, he is definitely accountable for what happened, assuming he managed and helped plan this (being his festival)

Yea the rock community is chiming in and that's what I'm getting from some of their sentiments. Haven't seen anything blatant yet though fortunately.
Tragedies at a concert that aren’t the artists direct fault aren’t going to affect the artist’s image substantially
Ayy stfu
Stop talking
festival is finished
rollout will probably be cancelled
I’d guess he’s gonna pull himself out of any upcoming shows until mid next year
Probably do some significant PR work in the meantime and then come back w a different direction
Doubt he’s gonna be doing the rager kinda stuff either anymore
The other option is they lean into it and use it as promotion but that would be extremely gross and distasteful and I really hope that’s not being considered

The rager stuff definitely isn’t dead
You don’t change your entire direction as an artist over a tragedy out of your control
It’s not like he can just wake up and be a different person
I hope he recovers mentally

I just think that every time he tries to in any way bring that s*** back it’s gonna backfire now because of this
Maybe there’s a way he can do it and preach safety but this is going to recirculate a lot if he’s tweeting s*** like he was in the past
It will absolutely affect his touring as venues will now see him and his fanbase as a liability. The insurance rates for his shows will be sky high, and some venues may refuse to book him altogether over the next year till this fully calms down.
In terms of endorsements, we’ll have to see, but Travis was getting a lot of endorsements geared towards the youth, and with how pissed parents are right now with him I can’t see him getting something like Fortnite right now.
His aesthetic and the ambience of his shows are now getting criticized and scrutinized by people who were previously not paying attention, and it may be a little while for his sponsors to successfully market him.
He’s taking virtually all of the major heat from the public, when LiveNation and the venue are realistically hold the majority of the fault in practice. But unfortunately that’s what you sign up for when it’s “your festival”, you are marketed as the organizer, and you promote the unruliness of your fans.
Luckily for him, in terms of legal issues, it will be the opposite. Live Nation and the Venue will get the lion share of the blame in that regard, because as I said, in practice, they are really who are responsible for the organization of the event.
Good ass post. Agree
If he handles this like i think he will since he seems to have a strong team behind him when it comes to media portrayal. He will become even bigger.
Start a fund for the families, campaign around crowd control attached to cactus jack. Family man pictures and nothing too celebratory for a couple months. Then talk shows about the whole ordeal , some positive feedback from the families and boom hes a good guy forever.
Y’all seen da Kamp Krusty episode? That’s how it went down
Which one?

sorry to tell you this but the rager stuff is definitely dead
PR team is already working overtime

Why did they post this
