chiliLast time i spun it in full, it was actually a lot better than i remembered…
still though, More Life is a better record and just keeps getting better imo. Drake’s last great record (as of yet)… DLDT had some great tracks too, but that was more of a compilation than an album

I feel like he worked on Energy thru to No Tellin’ and decided to create something around these. Used To was a Lil Wayne mixtape cut before it appeared on this. IMO Legend, the PND features, Jungle, and My Side were the only songs originally destined for VFT6.

Fr, you can tell straight away on Views the energy isn’t the same soon as he starts to rap on 9. There’s deffo a difference in delivery pre and post-Views. Always thought this.

It's not just that. It's that he hyped up Views for like 2-3 years lmao the build up was incredible. TC and NWTS were viewed as good albums, but the people knew he had an undeniable all time classic in him and we all thought Views would be it. Had a lot of big hits but it felt like the worst project he had dropped bar maybe his debut.

with Used To, it was actually Drake’s mixtape cut that Wayne decided to put out first

Jan 18I revisited Views recently and it’s pretty good compared to what I remember when it first came out. I think my expectations were so high at that time I felt disappointed. It’s still not nearly as good as IYRTITL but better than thought previously.
