Ditched an exam to go watch that movie and I wish I just saved my money and failed that exam instead. Would've been a more enjoyable 2.5 hours

Sidewinder was cold af, need more of him, same with the leader

The fact that people are trying to force it into the same conversation is wild.

This was a solid film and was good in all 3 acts, tension, action, politics, setting up new avengers, good villains that can come back, new solid hero and sidekick duo, nearly had everything.

The hate is overblown. The movie is fine, not great, but definitely continues the streak of good Captain America movies. Anthony Mackie does a great job as the new Cap though for sure. I feel brings a realness and relatability to the mantle that Steve Rogers didn't necessarily. That feeling that anybody can be Captain America and uphold his values.

Definitely disagree with this lacking character. Anthony Mackie and Giancarlo Esposito were awesome. Loved the relationship between Sam Wilson and Isaiah Bradley in this movie. Many genuine moments between the two.

Also like how Mackie brought his brand of goofy charm to Sam's character. Deadass, the best parts of the movie are when Sam is interacting with the other characters. Some fun and heartfelt moments between him, Joaquin, Isaiah, and Thad Ross.

This movie does a good job establishing that Anthony Mackie can be a leading man in a Marvel movie, while also showing that Sam Wilson is fully capable of leading a new team of Avengers.

about where I'm at as well. Definitely stitched together and way too many writers--but that's indicative of most post-endgame stuff they've released. Think critics are over-emphasizing the parts that suck because of the general marvel fatigue, whereas before they'd look to praise the interconnectedness. Since Marvel itself has fumbled the Kang->Secret Wars stuff it's feeling very confused. Perfectly 'cromulent' marvel movie, don't get the hate--but I never thought these movies were B+/A movies in general, so I guess my expectations have never been high.

Love seeing em in theaters, and much much better than the morbius,webb s*** that sony released. Hell, Kraven got an inordinate amount of s*** and critics said that was the nadir of the sonyverse, and I think it's the best of the non-venom/spidey cape flicks they've done. At least Russel Crowe had a s*** ton of fun in it, and the killer dude in the glasses was kinda neat. (They should have just excised the entire origin story and made it 1 1/2 hour movie and I bet it'd be better off). So I think it's kinda general fatigue with cape movies unless they do something real novel.

Quantumania was a decent film and definitely not bottom 3 when Thor 1, 2 & L&T exist
