Is that more like IT or cyber security? I’m studying cs with a concentration in systems I have to take a lot of networks and systems classes

it's majority IT regarding infrastructure ( servers, networking devices, network storage) with some cyber ( vulnerability/ patch management, access controls, user controls, hardening scripts, etc). my major is cybersecurity but i wanted to do this as my first job out of school cause i enjoy it way more than the entry level cyber roles.

Understand, lots of tech companies are doing a hiring freeze atm. I’ve graduated college, but looking to leave my current company.

Maybe I should just focus on upping my skills throughout next year and move by 2024

Ya ive been working in fintech for a couple yrs

If ur still in school u shld def apply for internships—a lot of ppl have paused hiring due to the upcoming recession but still will hire paid interns to then convert to full time after the internship

Like goldman sachs for instance is probably in a hiring freeze but im sure theyre still looking for interns for the summer
