If you’re too far gone into your mental health disorder crazy is exactly wht you are … Everybody has crazy in them what matters is, do others suffer because you can’t help projecting it?

Nah he will bounce back some he needs therapy and time . He living a different life with kids and just bought a new house . Whether it’s The Weeknd chance or mac we shouldn’t need any artist to be addicted to d**** to be making “ the best music “ because it’s most relatable because we do d**** too or better understand addicts than the rich

Mf would've ended up like Fetty Wap's ass being arrested for possessing heroin.

Just because he made a good mixtape while on Acid does not mean he would've been great.

If he kept going he'd probably be in rehab by now.

Stop wishing him to do d**** it's not fun.

Cause overall even with dark days and ptsd he is processing it in healthier ways . Values his life has a wife and 2 kids so part of his point is “ it’s possible to process emotions and not be trapped in cycles “ . He helps run a youth program here , reads books to kids , does food drives . That clearly enriches his soul more than pitchfork reviews or getting ratiod online . These artist rich or poor . Hard in the eyes of people or soft are all human.

I'd rather have him put out a bad/mediocre album and be happy with his wife and daughters helping him than him be an addict with ptsd

    Exactly.

They just don't understand and most likely will not understand because they don't put the effort or empathy in to actually look into what Chance does beyond music.

    It's sad

I mean that’s the thing many don’t care about artist mental health or lives they just want the art to critique it or play in their lives

It ain’t just relatability, d**** really be enhancing niggas creativity and making their ideas more abstract and interesting. As a man I’m glad Chance moving in a positive direction and I would never suggest he relapse for the sake of the music but as a fan I highly doubt he will ever come even remotely close to Acid Rap level sober.

“let your mental illness affect people you care about”

As if those with severe mental health issues have a choice

Well yeah acid I don’t think was his addiction there though lol. I ain’t denying that acid or shrooms could help him perspective wise to say abstract ideas . But if he wasn’t writing specifically about psychedelics would you know he had taken them recently or Molly ? Perhaps he didn’t want to just make it seem like those d**** lead to enlightenment so he instead lets future material speak for itself ( again time will tell don’t feel he in a rush especially after fall out with manager etc)

This is a very basic view of mental illness though. Especially when in his case he lives with wife and 2 kids
