    A few years?

Millions are already experiencing them now. In fact, that’s probably the most pressing concern for the average person when it pertains to COVID right now (especially if your vaccinated/boosted).

Brain fog, organ damage, chronic fatigue etc. a recent study that involved people who had been infected found that many of them had a degree of cognitive decline on par with the necessary intoxication level in the UK to be charged with a DWI.

    https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0267392

Imagine the effects this could have on traffic accidents for example, or people who are required to operate dangerous machinery at their jobs.

And this is a country built around having a car, if you don’t drive you’re stuck.

Or people who are like air traffic controller’s

I mean, CDC posted a study showing that about 1 in 5 people experience some degree of Long COVID.

A lot of people seem to just be closing their eyes and ears to this, and as of yet there’s no proven dependable treatment to counteract these effects.

As I said, this what people should be concerned about.

And with how common reinfections are and the virus constantly mutating into sub-variants that can outmaneuver previous infection protections, these issues could compound over time.

That’s why I still mask up in public.

Yeah no, not saying I didn’t believe you, just saying I was one of those people pretending like it wasn’t a big issue and this is scary

Oh yeah, no, this probably gonna become its own whole thing.

The virus can potentially attack any major organ in the body, so that’s also likely to lead to serious issues in a TON of people in the future.

Came across the theory that would make sense as to why this pandemic seems to be this ongoing thing with no sign of stopping.

During previous pandemics, our medicine hadn’t advanced to a degree where people with immune disorders had as much of a chance at longitivtiy in their lives as we do today, and we believe most of these big COVID variants originate from immunocompromised people.

So our improvements in medicine on that front might be what’s drawing this thing out, perpetually maintaining its cycle, meaning unless we manage to develop a vaccine with sterilizing immunity this thing can just keep going on and on and on with no end in sight, by means of infecting the immunocompromised and mutating.

As an aside, COVID might result in damage to DNA:

    sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1383574222000011

This can lead to a host of diseases and ailments developing in people that they might not develop otherwise.

On top of everything else concerning long COVID.

It’s just a theory, but it does make some sense.

Ease and speed of international travel would likely also be a factor, allows for new variants to quickly plant themselves all over the globe in a matter of days.

Vaccinations+Universal Masking+Improved Ventilation Systems would be the best overall defense against COVID, but, outside the first one, that s*** ain’t happening.

Neck gaiter people were my favorite part about the pandemic.

Like mfs were so anti-mask that they’d rather wear a foreskin around their neck at all times instead of carry a paper thin mask in their pocket.

You do a home test? If so you might want to do an extra one to be on the safe side, they can be a little funky.

    I’ve done 2 now

    Both negative

    I don’t feel anything either.

Been having him quarantine in his room and I spray Lysol every time he leaves when he needs to. Luckily he’s got minor symptoms

My wife finally tested positive and I tested negative, but had at least a 101 fever yesterday so I’m p sure I got it too. Feels kind of similar to the sinus infection I had last month, just more achy.

We’re on vacation in Hawaii rn tho
