all the other questions were of the same flavor, same answers there

it’s really not difficult to stick to whichever moral code you set for yourself

I already said if you choose to do that, then that’s your choice, but to hold the rest of the world to that same standard is not realistic. Most of the creatives who have made the world’s best art are s***ty human beings. That’s just a fact

exactly, you only go after artists that’ll guarantee ragebait; hence why i see you shoot at drake and carti because their fans guarantee a red notification

just to be clear, are you upset with me because i haven’t denounced Ferg & Sean for being nazis in a fake scenario you just made up?

  • Mar 12

I mean, your stance is valid.

But if you're not going to support an artist based off your moral beliefs, you might as well go 10 toes & not listen to his music as well.

i hold empathy for all of them sincerely, but i understand why one wouldn’t

there is no room for empathy when their words and actions influence millions of people

We can all agree Ye's been an absolute f*** tard ever since the red hat back in 2018, but we'll always stay bumping his classics.

I get the disconnect. You guys are conflating stan culture and artist worship with enjoying someone’s art or music.

People always talk in extremes on here.

There are plenty of artists, introspective or not, who were clearly scumbags and still warrant praise for their artistic contributions.

This idea that positively critiquing someone’s work being an endorsement of them as an overall individual is braindead.

You guys just need to reframe the amount of influence you expect figures to have over you. Have a healthy relationship with art. Art isn’t your identity.

you must not even be looking for art made by people who aren’t s***ty if you truly believe this

i understand this take though if all the art you interact with was shown to you via some algorithm

no i think you’re just a ragebaiter and you use moral points as your crutch hence why you’ll do this hoopla for one artist then if you do a click on your profile you’ll instantly see a 2026 lil uzi appreciation thread

    half agree

his dumbassery has ruined his classics to an extent as well. i find myself skipping a lot of songs i never thought i would’ve before.

“Disney” isn’t making Spider-Man content personally, that’s just a brand name attached

Kanye West is a real person directly making the art you listen to. no judgement on caring about his pre-2018 output, side-eyeing people who still cared about his 2018-2021 output, but caring about anything 2022 on is definitely judgement-worthy

same with R. Kelly, i’m not gonna judge people who grew up on his music for still listening to it, he had legit classics. but i 100% judge the people who still listen to the music he’s been dropping since getting locked up

listening to post jail r kelly is weird bc he got songs straight up saying like free me and what i did wasn’t even that bad im innocent, and u cant argue its for shock value or an artistic choice or that he’s just being dumb, bc he’s fully deadass.

but kanye s*** is like… do u rly think this dude earnestly has issues with jewish ppl as a whole or do u think he was mainly mad abt a group of ultra rich ppl messing w his life and art behind the scenes, and just went abt it in the least sensitive, most bombastic, and most controversial way for the sake of controversy? I mean his whole image has been “this guy is crazy and says crazy s***” from the jump. Not to mention post-Yeezus, u can argue that he made saying offensive crude and crazy s*** part of his art style.

I look at it like if R Kelly was an actual school shooter, then modern Kanye is a bad comedian who makes a lot of tasteless school shooter jokes. hope u can see im not rly tryna give ye props here, the bad comedian tier is still lame as s***, but its different from some r kelly s***

fair point, and i agree w where ur coming from, but the reality of capitalist life is that we dont produce our own s*** much anymore. people dont make their own clothes, cook their own food, build their own s***, etc. identity used to be formed by making ur own s*** and doing ur own s***. now its formed by buying other ppls s*** and paying for “experiences” someone else planned out for u. in other words, these days identity is formed by what we consume and the art we consume. I think that’s why this weird idea of “if you like the art, ur endorsing everything else abt the artist” is so persistent.

you’re trying to make me sound stupid with your hysteria but no

the point is you’re not morally consistent with anything you preach and you know that so stop trying to make yourself look good and accept your destiny as a ragebaiter

  • Everyone goes to R Kelly as an example bc it’s easy.

    lol.

What about Marvin Gaye? You guys gonna sit back and judge me for loving his music? F*** outta here.

it’s not about nazism for you, you don’t give a s***, you were doing the same gimmick before he was publicly doing the nazi s***. it’s just about ragebait and dopamine for you.
