Bro your tik tok is popping as you say
You need to promote your YouTube on that more . Ask people to subscribe to your YouTube at the start of videos and s***, tell them you tryna get to 1k subs. 'm always seeing people do this on tik tok
Plus your content thoughtful so I'm sure people will genuinely check it out and be interested to know if you promote it more, obviously not all of them but every view and sub helps with the algorithm
Appearance plays a huge part if you want to be big on social media.
Elaborate. Cause theres plenty of fat ugly people who are poppin on youtube. Id say its more about being charismatic and interesting than looking a certain way

Like I get I don't upload a f*** ton but how are we 2 years and 10 videos in and I've yet to break even 10k views on youtube
You aren't consistently dropping and the content doesn't seem algorithm friendly.
How could you blow up on one social media platform and be completely inept at building a career on another one?
On a serious note, your content seems to be mostly a channel about your thoughts on film/culture etc, but I don't get a feeling that its anything that draws me in or wants to get to know you or your opinion (at a glance). I'd consider making yourself more part of the brand, maybe include yourself in thumbnails or try to at least give the videos a consistent appearance that feels familiar when your video pops up. I think having that familiarity to people who like what you create will bring repeat customers and help grow your viewership organically

Tik tok is tricky, you can't post too much or else s*** will get caught and views die down, I have a whole roll out plan for this new video
You have as many vids on TikTok in a week has you have on YouTube in two years. @op why not just do the same thing on YouTube

Great points here

What are the fat ugly people doin because I can almost guarantee they are making a fool of themselves for views.
Your halo video is probably the best one
I saw your animation one and it took like 3 1/2 minutes of rambling to finally get started, which isn't necessarily a problem if you're priming the viewer but you should be making use of timestamps to avoid the "when will this end" feeling

Fantano for example

I'll never use my face in a thumbnail. 100% I think it's tacky
That being said my biggest issue is time cost/return on investment.
Like the h3 video took about a month, and the video I'm working on now could at most take 2 weeks.
I do want to upload more consistently, but my peers don't either, on top of the fact that the videos I make just take a f*** ton of time to create.

Why would that video honestly take a month? Jesus

No this is good, expand, cause I get a lot of my influence from Jakey and like maybe some old school AVGN type videos.
I clearly want to create something more personality driven and light hearted, I hate videos that just feel like long droning reads of wikipedia articles
My girl follows you on Tik Tok and I saw that video where you said you quit your job while thanking everyone for reaching a certain milestone, so I can only imagine that this is only adding your frustration.
If it means anything, Musings of a Crouton (MrMosebysLeftTit) doesn't get nearly as many views on her YouTube vids than she does on Tik Tok either: youtube.com/channel/UC-ywsA9-7dSTbWmdQdltbQ
For some reason, engagement in Tik Tok doesn't seem to translate to much on YouTube. Could be because your demo primarily stays on one platform, could just be because your content just hasn't that sweet spot of variables that the YouTube algorithm just loves. Who knows.
Your best chances are to be consistent and promote your content.

Watching the all the movies, creating/drafing the script outline, filming, and editing, editing always takes the longest. because of how much is on screen, sounds, etc. Editing that took about 20 hours
Fantano for example
I guess he is an exception lol. But look at tiktokers for an example how many are fat or ugly that are successful without doin stupid s***.

Noo I meant that as in I already checked it out and ya u killing it
I've seen plenty of tik tokers get huge pumping out a lot of content, stiches help with that
But u prob know more about this than me no doubt. Like I said tho I do think your YouTube is a lil hidden considering u wsnna push it and U got the perfect platform to give it a lil nudge. Hope your roll out goes well
Congrats on your success so far fr

I feel like u should figure out ways to cut down on that turnaround. Im not a video editor but a month is a long ass time.

Thank you thank you! I quit cause it felt right and while I have money, I need to use this time to fully springboard myself. I also have done this long enough that I know I can't just go all in every hour making a youtube video or else i'll be miserable.
The thing with tik tok is anytime you guide traffic off site it cuts your views down because they don't want people redirecting and it cuts your views down account wide because all metrics are tired. So I don't wanna over promote it because that's my main platform
I guess he is an exception lol. But look at tiktokers for an example how many are fat or ugly that are successful without doin stupid s***.
I dont watch tik tok but i really dont think its much to do with being good looking. Another example would be the h3h3 guy who is fat also
That one dude not even funny and he's one of the biggest content creators on tik tok
