I wouldn’t wanna live in a society where creatives are easily “rewarded” for what they do

Ppl don't need too many artists in their daily life. Obviously top artists, musicians, streamers etc. etc. are prospering. We don't need every artist to prosper, that doesnt work this way, other fields bring us further as society. Healthcare workers, agricultural workers, services etc. Why do we need to recognize every artist and give them a lot of money for what?

    Can't afford that at all

How society divides up money isn't based on peoples needs, if that was true farmers, nurses, and a lot of professions rooted in liberal arts would be payed a lot more. Right now artists only get 12% of the music industries total revenue. Even after accounting for infrastructure and s*** that percentage is too small. The people that profit the most in society are people who can game the system, record exec's and the like. Venture capitalists bought Toys-R-Us, bankrupted it, and ran off with the money. These are the people profit off the system. These people are needed less than artists and make the most

fear-based education was never the answer to begin with, should have always been interest-based and we would be living in a different world i promise you

artists could work together to create like scientists do. in teams, all working toward one common cause to inspire people

Unfortunately that’s not realistic because not everyone is in it for that. Many want fame, accolades, money etc. everyone isn’t in it for betterness

how do you know that? children create just to create. somewhere along the path, they are guided towards fame/money. that something is the true issue, but even still, i reckon most artists just want to be able to create and be anle to live from it

Not all children create. And along the line people see doing something in a creative field can lead to a lot of money and a lavish lifestyle so they want to do it, which inflates it. I don’t agree here

i know what i have to do. i gotta open up my own business. even if i open up a restaurant, i’ll still be able to be free, decide; i can express myself by designing the menu, the interior, teach my employees what to do.
it just sucks that the only opportunity society provides to us, is by being completey self sufficient. look how much STEM is supported.

you are correct. this is a beautiful development. all flourishing societies experienced golden ages of art and science.
if we manage to do automation right, we could have a utopia

You gotta know how to market your art well in order to sell it tbh.

Yeah you're painting and drawing, making beats, but who else is seeing the work besides your friends/ family?

i want to develop an app to tell a saga ive been working on for 13 years in a multi-media way, centered around the written word, for free. i got everything planned out, how i’ll make money with it as well, but im lacking the funds to make the app in the way i want it.
im wondering how i can get funding for my ideas.

Can you code? Learning how to code is easy and learning how to become a web developer is easy when you discipline yourself.

I just started learning how to code a week ago and I got all ideas on not just marketing my art , but I got ideas for a app to bring artist together. You can easily start small with web development.

Hell you can start other projects and sell them and fund it for your ultimate project. That’s kinda what I’m doing I’m experimenting with drop shipping.

I’m pretty much known locally with my art and photography so I’m building a website for my work as like a portfolio. Then that could easily get me gallery showings locally to help build my resume.

I’m just using all skills and bringing them together. The goal is to get as many people viewing your art and there’s really tons of ways to go about that in this age.

It's crazy, because a lot of society don't consider themselves creative. I read a book a couple days ago called the War of Art, and it makes a lot of sense how people who are afraid or can not be creative themselves don't accept the others who actually are. I think people are more aware when something is creative and different than we might think, they just aren't willing to accept it.
