you're already that far along
Yo I got a question about the big dudes holding the sacks
Am I right that if you die by them you get taken somewhere and it’s a whole new area?? I would google it but I’m not really sure how to and don’t wanna see too much
Edit: also about the sacks my bad yall

yes
I want to replay the whole series with the exception of Bloodborne since my brother stole my PS4. But my problem is that I wanna try some new builds. I can easily beat every game with dexterity builds and low armor but I never really bothered with the magic except for DS3 where you can change your build easily. I tried miracles there. Any recommendations? I heard intelligence dex in DS2 was good.
Am I right that DS3 is considered the easiest of the DS/Demon souls games?
And do those games have the same mechanic from bloodbourne where you light lanterns (or something similar) as checkpoints and you can use them to teleport to a hub world to level up and s***? I like that system

I haven't played DS3 myself tbf, but opinion varies a lot, some say Demon's Souls is the most punishing due to your health bar being cut in half a lot of the time, some say DS2 is due to the insane enemy placements and weird health decreasing mechanic when you die, some say the bosses in DS3 are the hardest, I couldn't honestly tell you, but it doesn't have as much of a crazy difficult reputation
And yeah, except they're bonfires in Dark Souls, Demon's Souls has a central hub system, and in DS2 and DS3 you can warp from any bonfire to any other bonfire, the hub world is more integrated into the world, it's more of a safe zone that you can walk to the rest of the game from as opposed to a true Bloodborne-type hub world
DS1 is tricky tho, you only unlock warping after a certain point in the game, and even then it only lets you warp to certain landmark bonfires, meaning that for a long time if you want to get anywhere you've got to go on foot. I kinda like this system because it makes you appreciate just how interconnected the world is, but it can be a real pain when you know you have to backtrack through a huge area

DS2 got the easiest bosses in the series as far as the base game is concerned imo
Nameless King & Twin Princes alone had me in f***ing shambles from DS3
DS3 is hella aggressive, especially the regular enemies

DS3 is the hardest boss-wise. It's basically Bloodborne without guns.
Sekiro's the hardest of them all though, imo. Whenever I return to that game I get my ass kicked for a good 30 minutes until I regain my muscle memory
The others I can jump into whenever and I feel pretty comfortable

Was just about to ask about sekiro. Planning on giving them all a try but wanted a gauge on the difficult of each of them. So sekiro the real real s***?

Sekiro's nuts
But yeah definitely play them all. They're all fantastic.

don't play sekiro until you at least play through a couple ds games
im trying to get into these. Which one should i start with?
DS1, so you can appreciate the changes the next games make and it doesn't feel like a step backwards to play the original

i played the first one last and still immediately recognized it as the GOAT. the atmosphere is unparalleled, and the gameplay is only slightly clunkier than the later games
I'd still say start with Bloodborne or DS3 lol
Unless you're accustomed to old games the PS3 era of Souls might be a turn off with how janky and dated they are
DS3 Deluxe 75% off rn. Never played a souls game or Sekiro, so I'm excited to jump in.
Just got to the world inside the painting in DS1, had no idea that was there at all, it's insane how much stuff this game packs in that you could easily miss
