See I don't think 'gangster rappers' are any less real than any 'conscious rappers' are less fake.
This is not a shot at Cole either. That's just a common name being brought up in this thread of being "real."
Because durk gon continue to make the same music that influence the mindset and vibes that led to his current predicament because he really has no choice given that that’s what people love him for.
And subsequently Von son gon grow up idolizing the same mentality that got his daddy killed (carrying yourself as a killer so niggas have that get u before u get me mentality)
Cole although probably didn’t come from a 2000’s Chicago type environment to make durk type music to begin with, he sticks to whatever he wants to make regardless of how it sells
