It's based on a modern play that's based on the Oedipus greek tragedy. It's not meant to be that realistic.

It definitely IS widely accepted

2049 is okay. Visually great tho.
Didn't feel anything for K and didn't really care about him.

The fact that it wasn't its own story but a piece of the original made it kinda less interesting too
