Oh yeah I forgot about that. The only thing that makes me believe he had a 3rd project is the songs “Alabama” and “Florida” so maybe he had a full concept project with each song title as a state and ended up scrapping it but keeping a few songs that he put on Endless
Alabama is the street where he grew up, but it also could fit a concept.. he also had a song called California reddit.com/r/FrankOcean/comments/7yzltj/so_i_was_reading_through_the_complaint_in_franks
i guess it's his 2013 tour opener
i believe he finished blonde pretty early (or at least had a bunch of versions of the songs he was still deciding on) and then made endless later
but i forget why i think that

!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGT_MoLH9_wDamn that’s wild. Yeah I believe it now, that’s too many songs with state titles.
Also that mans Nikes was made back in 2014 as well (at least)

Alotta Blonde songs dates back to 2013
Ivy and Seigfriend had drafts as early as 2013, he worked on Nikes as early as 2015, and a draft of Nights was recorded in 2016
It’s inevitable that his work overlapped but how he divided his work between the projects is a mystery. I don’t even know if we have any info on the recording process for any of the material on endless outside of the credits
Nikes as early as 2014 now
My guess is most of Blonde was recorded between 2013-2015, with a few new songs like Nights recorded and fine tuning done between 2015-2016.
Endless I would say was probably done from 2015-2016. Seems like that project probably came out of a spontaneous moment of creativity, whereas Blonde was the one that was meticulously planned for ages.
What’s the info on Nights?
What’s the info on Nights?
Mainly speculation, but I read that part earlier in this thread
Frank recorded Blonde in one night, long free style session one take no cap
That’s why some of the hooks are only sang once

Agree with this.
He used Endless to get out the DefJam deal. So in order to convince the label that Endless was his last project he probably had to be creating/recording it near it's release date (2016).
Additionally, from a quality perspective it seems like he spent more time refining Blonde than Endless. For example, the multiple versions of White Ferrari that were rumoured to be recorded.
Also Boys Don't Cry would be a good alternative title for Blonde, not so much for Endless. I believe he teased the title a few years before release (~ 2014).

Bruh probably got like 5 more albums cooked rn
Wait didn’t Frank say something about he made 5 albums before 30 or something before Blonde even released
Or did he finish 1 project first then move on to the next?
Wiki says both was recorded from 2013-2016
Crazy how he made 2 classics during the same time frame that sounds completely different.
endless is not a classic wtf yall so biased you're not even trying anymore

No
No
Well we have 2 different opinions of classic because Unity is classic on the classic album Endless. Unity is my favourite Frank song of all time since Blond
Vegyn and arca gave us perfection.
still haven't listened to either album, gimme an
idk why just never in the mood

It’s not a classic to the world but it’s def a fan favorite. When the 2 came out I preferred endless to blonde, but in hindsight blonde is just way more meticulous and the scope of it all is kind of unbeatable.
