what you on about lol endless is his most cohesive work, whatever you’re referring to as unpolished is certainly intended

Loooool cmon bruh. This is objectively wrong. I mean, you are luh and device control alone are completely out of place. Then there are extended instrumental sections and abrupt endings that scream demo to me

Idk how u can think endless is more cohesive than blond or Channel orange but go off i guess

I feel like the people calling endless unpolished haven’t heard the CD version

endless cdq is great, but it still feels unpolished. i like that tho, its what makes the project so good

it would lose its charm if it was re-recorded and sounded more crisp

  • Nov 10, 2020

Endless isn’t a classic. But it’s really good

Being out of place and unpolished are two very separate things.

You Are Love is an official track with strings from Johnny Greenwood. Device Confrol is from Wolfgang Tillsman.

Endless isn’t a Jai Paul situation where Frank’s raw demos were tossed together and called an album. It’s a fully fleshed out project with each track mixed and mastered by some of the best engineers in music.

I find it more cohesive in the sense that all of the tracks have a sort of industrial sound to them like they were all made in a night but worked on for years after but that’s just me.

Damn fr? I know I’ve read Frank doesn’t reveal much with her collaborators. But both endless and blonde producers alluded this?

Endless was supposed to be "boys dont cry" and he scrapped it for some reason. Then made blonde after.

You can tell endless isnt quite as polished as u would expect for a final product. I think we are lucky we even got to hear it

So you think he made endless first?
There’s no way he made endless first without any overlap because there’s a good amount of blonde tracks that date back to 2013 (beginning of the process) and he was talking bout Boys don’t Cry all the way to 2015

I think some of it was at the same time, but in general blonde was 12-14 and endless 15-16. I think originally Frank was going to get out of his contract by releasing a project called “states” but only ended up keeping Alabama and Florida.

Think this the most plausible. So you think states was made in 2015?

what you mean sounds like they made it in a night but kept working on it

Like they wrote all the ideas and basic production in a night and then kept fine tuning it year after

Feel like he was working on Blonde songs same time as Channel Orange tbh if not as soon as CO was finished.

it caught them off guard because he chose a visual album, that cant sell, as a way to fulfill his contract. His only goal was to get out of whatever s***ty deal he was on at that time

  • Nov 16, 2020

I still think endless is better than blonde. Those instrumentals are just godly

    americana

Ivy and Seigfriend had drafts as early as 2013, he worked on Nikes as early as 2015, and a draft of Nights was recorded in 2016

It’s inevitable that his work overlapped but how he divided his work between the projects is a mystery. I don’t even know if we have any info on the recording process for any of the material on endless outside of the credits

I always thought he finished blonde first, cause it was release ready in 2015, but then label issues made him delay it. I think that’s when he started working on endless and also refined blonde into the version we have now. Cause the BDC magazines have the 2015 tracklist of blonde in it I would guess
