It’s not a classic to the world but it’s def a fan favorite. When the 2 came out I preferred endless to blonde, but in hindsight blonde is just way more meticulous and the scope of it all is kind of unbeatable.

    agreed

Endless had to have been worked on in at least 2015 because he at least started filming in February 2016

Also you can record different types of records and know they’re not for a specific album or eventually feel like you are creating 2 albums

I know but naturally you would think if he’s sonically in a rhythm with Blonde he would continue that instead say “nah today ima go completely left”

Yes, the producers said they weren’t told what tracks were for what. In fact they didn’t even know of Endless or Blonde. They were just working on a hypothetical project. Frank kept everything under wraps until the last moment.

Damn fr? I know I’ve read Frank doesn’t reveal much with her collaborators. But both endless and blonde producers alluded this?

  • endless is a leftover project

man stfu, just stop making threads altogether. endless isnt even close to a classic

  • Nov 10, 2020

blonde tracklist was almost set in stone very early on, but who knows. some stuff off endless could have been started earlier, for example he posted At Your Best on his tumblr beginning of 2015 iirc, but without the Greenwood strings + other elements

i dont believe it was like what some people itt are saying about him just realizing he had two albums worth of material though. i think he had blonde pretty much done, realized he could make a second album to get out of his deal and release blonde independent, already had some extra songs laying around and got to work on creating Endless, hence that extra year of silence from mid 2015-mid 2016

    forgot about this, nice

still doesn’t mean he was working on them at same time though, he would have been secretive about it no matter what

  • Endless is its own classic. Listen to rushes any night and tell me something beyond that endless is beautiful

Endless was supposed to be "boys dont cry" and he scrapped it for some reason. Then made blonde after.

You can tell endless isnt quite as polished as u would expect for a final product. I think we are lucky we even got to hear it

I think some of it was at the same time, but in general blonde was 12-14 and endless 15-16. I think originally Frank was going to get out of his contract by releasing a project called “states” but only ended up keeping Alabama and Florida.
